Blueberry Avocado Smoothie

Ohhh I can’t wait to try this !!!

Two Fat Foodies, going for slim

Blueberry Milkshake

I think it’s official, winter has begun in the North Eastern section of the United States.

snow birds

I think we got about 8 inches of snow last night. Looks like the bird feeders need to be filled and once we can get the appropriate outer wear on, that’s what we’ll do! But, for now, it’s time for breakfast! Smoothie time.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup beet greens
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 TBSP chia seeds
  • 1 cup cold almond milk
  • water (as much as you’d like)

Directions:

Whip all ingredients together in a nutribullet or industrial mixer. Mix for about 1 minute.

Enjoy!

This smoothie would also be great with just strawberries or raspberries instead of the blueberries and pomegranate seeds. I might try that combination next time!

Nice! I had a new combo the other day. I was out of frozen blueberries. So I had frozen mango, about 3 cups fresh spinach, juice from 1 orange and 1 Haas avocado. It was delicious. I just bought almond milk so I will try yours.
    🙂

    1. Ohhh that sounds good too. With fruit and veggie almost any combo works. When I’m down to my last fruits I throw in whatever I have and it still is tasty.
