If your ever in New York please take a minute to have lunch at Silvana! This is a nice restaurant located at 300 West 116th Street New York, Ny. My cousin who now attends Columbia lives minutes away from this quaint spot. The food is prepared daily with the freshest ingredients using Traditional Middle-Eastern recipes and spices.
This pic is the awesome sandwich I ordered and demolished in minutes! The Sabich Sandwich featured here is on whole wheat pita bread stuffed with fried eggplant, hard boiled egg, hummus, Israeli salad, tahini, pickles, and fluffy potato chips! This melted in my mouth! I’m a huge eggplant lover so this worked well for me and will for my fellow vegetarians. I had to finish my meal off with jasmine tea. They have all types of Teas too!
Besides the food here I love that it has live music, a bar, cafe, and boutique! This place has communal dining as well! Pretty cool! Check it out the next time your in the big apple!
Tip: Grab the take out menu the next time you do vegetarian dining and simply review to get ideas on spectacular vegetarian dishes that you probably wouldn’t of thought about making at home. Eating at home is safer these days in my opinion. I will definitely try making a Sabich Sandwich in the near future!
